Where Competition Meets Inclusion

Bringing agencies together for a day of teamwork, adapted games, and
friendly competition—because everyone deserves a chance to play.

How it Began...

Battle of the Agencies started as a simple idea during a discussion among supervisors at Cardston Support Services. They envisioned friendly softball games between agencies in surrounding communities, but the idea never moved forward.

That initial conversation soon evolved into something much bigger—an inclusive event designed for all abilities. Instead of just softball, the concept expanded to a variety of adapted games, ensuring accessibility for everyone. Agencies would form teams and compete in challenges, earning points as they played together.

In July 2024, that vision became reality. The first-ever Battle of the Agencies was hosted in Cardston, Alberta, bringing together eight agencies for a day of fun, teamwork, and friendly competition!

Why We Continue

What started as a simple idea has grown into something truly meaningful. Battle of the Agencies continues because it brings people together, fosters inclusivity, and creates lasting connections between agencies and individuals.

The event provides a space where everyone—regardless of ability—can compete, collaborate, and celebrate through adapted games and friendly competition. It’s not just about playing; it’s about belonging, teamwork, and empowerment.

The overwhelming support from agencies, participants, and the community fuels our success, proving that there is a strong desire for inclusive, engaging opportunities. As long as there are people eager to participate, agencies willing to support, and communities that believe in accessibility, Battle of the Agencies will continue to grow, inspire, and unite.
